BBCOE is inviting you to participate in the REAL MEN WEAR PINK campaign to support the American Cancer Society raising awareness of breast cancer. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on cancer patients and caregivers. 79% of cancer patients in active treatment have reported delays in care due to the pandemic. 50% of the fundraising events the American Cancer Society promotes have been canceled due to COVID-19. Late stage Cancer detection and cancer related deaths are both expected to increase as a direct result of the pandemic. The ACS has provided a 24/7 support line for Cancer patients, but the pandemic is disrupting support systems like rides to treatment, lodging, and access to care.
