Limited Submission Opportunity: 3rd Annual Warren Alpert Distinguished Scholars Fellowship Award – Neurosciences Due Date: Internal Deadline – Wed, Sept 2nd. External Deadline – Sun, Nov 1st
Info: The Warren Alpert Distinguished Scholars program will support individual scientists of exceptional creativity who have an MD or PhD degree (or both) and who have completed a minimum of 3 years of a post-doctoral fellowship by July 1, 2021 in the field of neurosciences and hold a post-doctoral research position at a US medical school, research institute or academic hospital. The awards are to enable recipients to advance to a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level or higher. The award is for $200,000 annually for 2 years to cover salary, lab costs, and related expenses.

Due Date: Sept 9, 2020 Info: Proposals should identify and address systemic race-related barriers and disparities in the delivery of care that impact outcomes regardless of cancer type.
Funding Opportunity: Yakult and Nature Research: The Global Grants for Gut Health Due Date: Sept 30, 2020
Info: Competitive program for investigator-initiated research into the human gut microbiota. Will consider proposals for research projects that advance understanding of the impact of the small intestine microbiome on human health. In all cases the focus should be on uncovering and understanding the mechanisms through which the microbiota exert an influence on human health. Research projects should be one year in duration.
