POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW POSITION in PRECISION MEDICINE

Over the past decade, the Olivier lab, with collaborators all over the U.S., has been developing a technology called Hybridization Capture of Chromatin-Associated Proteins for Proteomics (HyCCAPP) to investigate how proteins interact with DNA in the nucleus, and how genetic sequence variation in the DNA impacts protein binding. For this NIH-supported project, we are recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Precision Medicine to assist in the development of the technology and the analysis of HyCCAPP data. If you have expertise in molecular genetics or proteomics mass spectrometry, are interested in gene expression regulation and in technology development in general, this may be an opportunity for you!

The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, learn quickly, and have a good degree of independence. Individuals should have a Ph.D. in molecular biology, genetics, or related field. Experience in any (or all) of the following techniques would be a plus:

·         Sequencing and sequence data analysis ·         Proteomics mass spectrometry ·         Cell culture ·         Chromatin Immunoprecipitation ·         Luciferase promoter reporter assays

The position is NIH-funded, and available immediately.

Candidates who are interested in working in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment are encouraged to submit their curriculum vitae, a 1-page statement describing their relevant background and career goals, and names of two references to molivier@wakehealth.edu
