Qianqian Song, PhD
Spring 2020 – Current
Postdoc 2017 – current
Faculty Lab: Wei Zhang, PhD – Professor, Cancer Biology
Qianqian obtained her PhD in Applied Math from Beijing Normal University in 2017. She did joint PhD training with Wake Forest University School of Medicine from 2015 – 2017 with a focus on bioinformatics, genetics, and epigenetics. Her expertise and research focus are incorporating biological information, data mining, and high throughput omics analysis for investigating the potential driving forces behind tumor variability and progression. Her research interests include developing efficient computational methods to handle heterogeneous single-cell data and applications of bioinformatics tools for biomarker discovery.
Current research projects include:
Single-cell characterization of immune contexture in non-small cell lung cancer.
Identifying biomarkers for immunotherapy response of melanoma patients.
Stand Up to Cancer project on T cell lymphoma.
Hanzhi Wu, PhD
Postdoc 2015- current
Faculty Lab: Cristina Furdui, PhD – Professor, Molecular Medicine
Hanzhi received his PhD in Chemistry from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2015. He is currently working in Dr. Cristina Furdui’s lab focusing on multi-project research using proteomics and mass spectrometry methods to investigate regulation of signaling, metabolism, and epigenetics in a broad range of diseases.
